The Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) is proud to launch an exclusive designer t-shirt collection in celebration of its 10th Anniversary and in aid of its work defending the natural environment and human rights. EJF unveils five new prints by fashion designers Celia Birtwell, Eley Kishimoto, From Somewhere, Martina Spetlova and Yang Du which will be available to buy early next year. Until then you can pick up prints from EJF's Iconic Collection which features five of its most iconic t-shirt designs from Christian Lacroix, John Rocha, Katharine Hamnett, Allegra Hicks and Alice Temperley creating the ultimate collection of ethical t-shirts for SS12. Following the historic success of EJF’s t-shirt project in bringing tough issues of the cotton supply chain under fashion’s spotlight, the collection will be modelled on supermodels and celebrities to support the charity’s renowned ‘Pick Your Cotton Carefully’ campaign. Full details of the celebrity ambassadors will be announced later in the year. The campaign aims to end the use of forced child labour and worst environmental abuses in the cotton industry. The collection boasts a well balanced mix of established and famous print and textile designers with the world’s best ethical, emerging and exciting talent on the fashion scene right now. The t-shirts feature a mix of designs from pesticide chemical compounds, to cotton crop prints and slogans. ‘We are all from somewhere’ (From Somewhere) and ‘Dreaming of a Magical Future’ (Alice Temperley) echo that we all have a role to play in the future of fashion. Manufactured and printed to the strictest ethical and environmental standards, EJF’s collection is made to Earth Positive ™ credentials using high quality, fairly traded, organic cotton and manufactured using energy from solar and wind powered factory in India. |
